the sun will
shine as the little
one grows
the little
one. as we live for
dead and life.
yellow soul and
brown eyes cover his
skull. blue crown.
my sunshine.
you will learn how to
love me back.

life burns out.
Devon Riddick is a 21-year-old poet hailing from Indian Head, Maryland. Currently in school studying English at Elizabeth City State University, Devon is pursuing his degree with plans to teach post-college. Devon is also a blogger (VonnThePoet) and podcaster hosting “Archives Radio” (Listen on Spotify). Although with minimal writing poetic experience, his love for poetry is evident in his catalog, perspective through his podcast, and eagerness to share the importance of creativity in his everyday life.
