This piece was created in regards to many brands and corporations feigning allyship despite not having done anything concrete to support the movement in the past and the present. This behavior from brands and celebrities alike highly irks me as it just goes to show the thoughtlessness behind capitalist goods being serviced to the public and although this has always been present, it is especially high right now and I think it desperately needs to be called out.
The artwork shows a mannequin head to represent the fake and hollow intent behind the "support" given out by brands with its eyes brushed out to represent the privilege in turning a blind eye to what's going on and the words "Performative Allyship is not a good look on you" surrounding the mannequin head in place of its hair.
