Recently I’ve had the epiphany that I tend to lose myself in others. I break down into certain aspects of myself to fit with who I’m with, segments of my personality split and stitched back together to please those around me. I feel the need to force myself into a specific category to be liked, but in the end that’s not me. Being separated from others has forced me to confront who I am, and to realise I’m not here to be the perfect person for everyone. I’m here for me.
