Poetry, Ally Boyle

i have boiled myself in ink.

i have ripped my skin to shreds

i have flayed my soul for thought

i have heard the earth whispering in the catacombs

i have seen the world fly by as a bird

i have documented history i cannot relive

i could know the world & still,

still--

burn me as a library;

knowledge has eaten me alive.
